Hamilton Island Enterprises is seeking expressions of interest for an experienced Doctor who may have a desire to operate their own practice, or a Medical Provider to operate the Hamilton Island Medical Centre under a three year licence arrangement as an owner operator.
Located in the Whitsunday region at the heart of the Southern Great Barrier Reef, Hamilton Island is one of Australia’s most spectacular and sought-after holiday destinations. The largest of 74 Whitsunday Islands, it is part of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park and is close to world-famous Heart Reef and Whitehaven Beach. This aquatic playground is where most Whitsunday tour operators are based, with an enormous range of air, land and water-based activities on offer. There is a wide range of accommodation, restaurants and retail available. The island is also home to the iconic Walter Barda designed Hamilton Island Yacht Club, the 18-hole Hamilton Island Golf Club designed by the British world championship golfer, Peter Thomson and the renowned, highly awarded luxury resort, qualia.
Hamilton Island is more than a popular tourist destination. It’s also a thriving community, with a population of around 1500 permanent staff and residents with a school, a bank and a post office. Hamilton Island is also surprisingly easily accessible. With its own commercial airport, you can fly to Hamilton Island within 3.5hrs from Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane with Qantas, Virgin or Jetstar.
