On 30 July 2018, AMA Queensland, in partnership with the Australian Salaried Medical Officers' Federation (Queensland Branch), served a log of claims for the new Mater Health Services Resident Medical Officers' Enterprise Agreement.
We are negotiating for an agreement that provides:
- a 5% salary increase per year for the three years of the agreement;
- increased professional development leave and allowances;
- improved consultation and dispute resolution provisions;
- increased vocational Training Subsidy; and
- rest pauses not previously provided to medical officers.
Bargaining period: starting from August 2018, AMA Queensland/ASMOF Queensland Branch will be undertaking fortnightly bargaining meetings with Mater Health Services.

We need your help
To ensure we have critical mass to support negotiations, it is vital that our membership is strong and continues to grow. Help with the task of improving working conditions in public hospitals by encouraging your non-member colleagues to join.
The Workplace Relations Team will be visiting Mater to provide updates on the current Enterprise Agreement negotiations and seek feedback from impacted Mater doctors. If you and your colleagues would like to arrange a briefing with the team, please let us know. Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or call (07) 3872 2222. Also keep an eye on the AMA Queensland Facebook page for updates about visits and negotiation progress.
